Olympic Gold Medalist Vincent Hancock Coming to KSP

2012 Olympic Gold Medalist - Vincent Hancock - USA - Men's Skeet

The Board of Directors of Keystone Shooting Park are proud to announce that two-time World & Olympic Gold Medalist Vincent Hancock will be joined by his father and coach Craig Hancock in conducting a two day Olympic Skeet clinic at Keystone Shooting Park next April. Craig and Vincent, both of Hancock Shooting Academy will offer their expert coaching services to interested shooters of all skill levels in order to help them improve their knowledge and enjoyment of the sport.

Registration for the clinic will be on a first come, first serve basis. Students attending both days of the clinic will have priority in registration. A maximum of (12) students per day will be eligible for instruction. The cost of the clinic is $575.00 per day, per student. This fee includes all instruction, targets and lunch.

The clinic is being held just prior to the 2013 Beretta USA Cup in Olympic Skeet. This will give the students an opportunity to not only get world class instruction, but also have the opportunity to hone those recently learned skills in a first class competition. 2012 High Performance Camp Hosted

The Keystone Shooting Park facility played host to a High Performance Camp in Olympic Trap on October 26-28. The featured coach of the camp was famed Italian National Team Member and Coach Rodolfo “Rudy” Vigano. Rudy has been on the Italian National Team for the past 25 years and was a member of the Italian Olympic Team in 2000 at the Sydney games and an alternate for the 2012 Olympic Games in London this past summer. Rudy has been a past medalist at the European Championships, World Cups, World Cup Finals and the World Championships. Rudy brought a wealth of experience to the camp and hopefully inspired our camp participants to greatness in future National and International events.

Six athletes from across the United States and Canada assembled to take a 2 1/2 day training seminar from Rudy. These athletes are potential bright stars on the horizon for both the US and Canada. A host of topic were discussed such as the bio-mechanics of shooting, nutrition, physical fitness, mental training, focus methodology and training for competitions. A mock World Cup was run and the top gun of the contest was Brad Beckmann of St. Charles, MO. By virtue of his victory, Brad’s registration will be paid to the 2013 Perazzi USA Grand Prix to be hosted at Keystone Shooting Park next June. Second place went to Nate Lundie of Wellesley, MA., who will have half of his registration fee paid to the same event.

We thank Rudy for enduring the trans-atlantic flights in order to bring his expertise and passion to our shores in an effort to aid our athletes in the furthering their Olympic dreams. WELL DONE!!!!
